The County of Maui Office of Recovery, in collaboration with the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society, invites Lahaina kūpuna and ʻohana to spend an afternoon together at the next Hot Kūpuna Nights on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lahaina Civic Center Social Hall.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to RSVP in advance at www.mauirecovers.org/events.
Hot Kūpuna Nights creates a relaxed space for Lahaina kūpuna to catch up with friends and neighbors, enjoy Hawaiian music and connect with senior and recovery resources.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m., with live music from Kuʻuipo Kumukahi & Friends beginning at 4 p.m. Kapili Akima will host the gathering, and attendees are encouraged to bring their ʻukulele and join the kanikapila. Food will be provided.
